The National Cycle Route 7 features a number of Ayrshire’s landmark towns including Irvine, Troon, Prestwick and Ayr and is a popular route connecting to Glasgow in the north to Wigtown in the south, and beyond.
The entire route is a staggering 869km (540 miles) and features a distinct little red sign.
Within Ayrshire the route covers 30km (19 miles) of coastline.
