ACCESSIBLE ayr

Accessible Ayr is an ambitious project to significantly improve the town centre, making it a vibrant and more attractive place for people to visit and enjoy, as well as make it easier to access by pedestrians and cyclists, and join other active travel routes.

A number of public consultations have taken place and the design process in now at stage 4 with funding awaited.

Annick Valley Scheme

This project will improve the connection between Lugton to Kilmarnock via Dunlop,
Stewart and Kilmaurs.

With stage 0 complete, feedback from an initial consultation is currently being compiled and the results made public later in the year.

ayr to cumnock

This is an aspirational project and work has not yet started.

Ayr to DALMELLINGTON

Stage 2 is complete and plans are in progress for stage 3.

This is an existing route forming part of the Alloway to Burton route.

Stretching from Ayr Esplanade to Prestwick Train Station, Sage 0 and 1 are complete.

BARASSIE TO DUNDONALD

Enabling works are complete and Stage 4 is in progress.  The route will stretch from Kilmarnock Road in Barassie to Dundonald.

CULZEAN way

Stage 1 is complete and a feasibility study has been compiled to enable the project to progress to the next stage.

DUNDONALD TO CROSSHOUSE​

This is an aspirational project and work has yet to start.

CROSSHOUSE to KILMARNOCK

Stage 2 is in progress.

GIRVAN ACTIVE TRAVEL NETWORK

This is an aspirational project and work has not yet started.

GIRVAN TO GRANGESTON

Stage 0 and 1 are complete.  The route will stretch from Girvan to Grangeston.

KILMARNOCK GREEN INFINITY LOOP

Stage 3 is complete and stage 4 will be completed this year.

LOANS TO TROON (phase 3)

The route will stretch from Toon Train Station to Loans.   Stage 0-2 are complete.

PRESTWICK TO BARASSIE

Stage 0 and 1 are complete. The route will stretch from Prestwick Train Station to Kilmarnock Road to Barassie.
